I figured I would share what I am up to with the old green machine. Chris Jones got me to join. Some of you guys might know me but I fell off the map a while. I have a modded 1997 D1 with almost 500K miles; so it is time to put a fresh engine in it.
So the build sheet looks like this:
Rover 4.0 L block (Honed at Texon Motors)
4.6 L Crank (Turned 0.010" at Texon Motors)
4.6 L Con Rods
4.0 L Pistons (This increases the compression ratio)
Kent Cam from the Wedge Shop
Ported and Polished heads
Some 5 hole injectors from a 2004 Mustang GT
I may put long tube headers on
And eventually a Tornado Systems ECU/Tune
Talking to the guys at The Wedge Shop, they are saying I could get 300 hp out of this motor!!!
I am at the point of the build were I have everything, just need time to put it together.
