Exciting news as TMTC (Barnwell Mountain) is opening their new off-road park. Below is the email invite I received from them.

You might or might not know that TMTC has diligently been working on a second park in west TX to provide an opportunity for our San Antonio / Austin members to have a place much closer than Gilmer to go recreate in. I know that some of our 'older' members had pretty much given up on this ever becoming a reality and I can understand that feeling. BUT after 13 years since purchase of the land and over 5 million invested in infrastructure, the park is ready to open!! We have hired a park manager, we have a working water plant supplying 35 PREMIUM RV sites and a restroom/shower facility just like the one at Barnwell Mountain. AND we have 40+ miles of 4x4 trails, 50+ miles of motorcycle trails and 20+ miles of ATV/UTV trails ready to go.

We would like to invite you to the special Grand Opening weekend from Oct 11th through Oct 13th with a special ribbon cutting ceremony program scheduled for 1:00pm on Saturday, Oct 12th. There will be Govt officials, Texas Parks and Wildlife personal, key past members of TMTC leadership, vendors, food truck and others attending to help us celebrate this very important milestone. But it WON'T be complete without YOU. We planned the GO to coincide with Chile Challange in New Mexico to give people attending that event a chance to stop in and see our great park before continuing on to that event.

You can reserve RV slots by sending a reservation payment through PayPal to treasurer@escondidodraw.org The fee schedule is listed on the Escondido web site ( www.escondidodraw.org ) Since all sites have electric, water and sewer connections they are $35/nite and you just have to include the nights you want to reserve and your name in the 'notes' section of the PayPal transaction to reserve. We have already filled up 1/3 of the sites so don't wait till the last minute to get yours. There will also be primitive camping available and there are hotels in Ozona (which you can find info about on the escondidodraw.org web site.

We would love to have 100+ users come out to the park, experience the trails, have a great time and then SHARE their experience on social media so we can begin to create a buzz about the park and it's potential to be a 'must go to' destination. If you have any questions or comments, please reply to this email or see the addresses in the flyer below.

Thanks!

Eric Barnes - TMTC President
